What are the different ways you can Pear?
On Pear, you can play the role of being a Merchant, a Curator, a Promoter, or a consumer.
The chain goes like:
Merchants (catalogs) -> Curators (Posts) -> Promoters (Share) -> Consumers.
- Merchants are the owners of the catalogs, either through shopify sync or manual listings. Merchants can invite Curators to create content and posts surrounding their offered products while earning commissions. Approved Curators will be able to see the catalogs, inventory, prices and commissions.
- Curators are the original creators of the posts. They create content around their own products and/or authorized merchant catalogs. Curators create content with selling points, set commission structure for Promoters, and wrap them all into Shoppable Posts. Curators can invite Promoters to help resell their Posts and earn commission. Curators can also offer Promoters a Set-Your-Own-Price instead of a fixed commission.
- Promoters are those who add value by bringing traffic to the value chain! They share Shoppable Posts with their communities and resell them within their Pear Shops. Shoppable Posts provide an easy way for Promoters to participate by providing pre-selected products, pre-negotiated commissions and pre-made authentic content. Promoters don’t have access to the catalog, but can only see the commission in the posts for each product.
- Consumers, well as you know, trust and follow their Promoters or Curators for their tasteful curations and purchase from their Pear Shops. Consumers don't have any visibility to the catalog or commission, only the Post and final retail price. Coming soon Promoters & Curators will be able to set incentives for their consumers to share the Posts to receive loyalty points.
